What will you see in The Brodsky Apartment Museum?

In an apartment on Arts Square, Brodsky lived the last 15 years of his life. He created a museum of Russian art of the late XIX — early XX century, which presents the works of the most famous artists of this time. A memorial setting has been preserved, which allows visitors to immerse themselves in the era of the 1920−30s of Russia. The exhibitions of contemporary artists

The museum constantly hosts temporary exhibitions of contemporary artists from St. Petersburg, other cities of Russia and abroad, as well as exhibitions from the museum’s richest funds. In the 19th century, a literary and musical salon of Counts Vielgorsky was born in an apartment on Arts Square, which was attended by famous personalities — writers, poets, composers and musicians: Pushkin, Lermontov, Glinka. Brodsky also often held concerts. The museum continues the traditions of the salon — in the workshop room classical music is performed by young and famous musicians of our city.

The Pushkin apartment museum is a part of the vast literary heritage of St. Petersburg. A lot of creative people and scientists lived in the city — it was called The cultural capital of Russia. Many great poets influenced the history of St. Petersburg, and today in the city there are many different museums that will introduce us to these people. If you want to know more about the literary heritage of St. Petersburg — we invite you to our special tour.
