COCOCO Restaurant

Voznesensky pr., 6 (Metro st. "Admiralteyskaya")
The restaurant belonging to the Shnurovs that have recently broke up is located on the first floor of the Hotel So Sofitel (Ex W). Here you will see that Russian cuisine can be delicious and original. One of the things which are really worth tasting here is the creme brûlée with heather and strawberries! In the restaurant they serve breakfasts, gastronomic sets on certain days, and you can also buy original cakes. Please note that breakfasts are served from 7:00 am to 11:00 am, after which the restaurant closes and starts working for the evening service from 2:00 pm.

Severyanin

Stolyarniy bystreet, 18/69 (Metro st. "Sadovaya")
A Russian restaurant with the classical Petersburg atmosphere. The title contains a play on words — on the one hand, a reference to Igor Severyanin, one of the brightest poetic voices of the Silver Age, and on the other, to the concept of the northern cuisine. The menu is based on classic dishes of the northern Russian cuisine in modern original versions. For example, sterlet in champagne with Hollandaise sauce and red caviar, veal tongue with oats, white mushrooms and kvass mousse, or rabbit roll with baked carrots and gorgonzola sauce. Regarding drinks, in the menu there are homemade liqueurs and infusions, there is also a good wine list.

Shalyapin

Tverskaya str., 12/15B (Metro st. "Chernyshevksaya", "Vosstanya square")
A respectable restaurant near the Smolny. (The twin brother in the resort area is also recommended) The interior focuses on the Russian classical style — restrained and aristocratic, intelligent in a modern way. In the menu there is beef stroganoff and steamed sterlet, soup from sauerkraut and meat-jelly with mustard, a variety of meatballs, pies and pickles.

Block Restaurant

Potemkinskaya str., 4 (Metro st. "Chernyshevksaya")
A restaurant on the roof of the Leningrad Center with a panoramic view and an exclusive selection of meat dishes and steaks. The farm with which the restaurant cooperates directly supplies specially selected cuts to its kitchen. The spacious restaurant is located on the third floor of the Leningrad cinema reconstructed building, and from its windows there is a beautiful view of the Tauride Garden. The interior has a bright combination of northern modernism, cubism and futurism.

Hamlet + Jacks

Volinskiy bystreet, 2 (Metro st. "Nevsky prospect", "Admiralteyskaya")
A restaurant which focuses on the original gastronomy of Evgeny Vikentiev, the chef, is a stone`s throw from the DLT. The dishes of the national category 'Our' combine local products — 'purebred' dishes made of Baltic herring or Voronezh beef are better to be looked for here. In the wine list almost everything your heart desires can be found: from proven classics to biodynamic samples and wines that are just coming into fashion.

Mechta Molokhovets

Radisheva street, 10 (Metro st. "Vosstanya square")
A restaurant of Russian cuisine named after Elena Molokhovets, the author of a cookbook which was popular among the housewives of the 19th centuary. Traditional noble dishes with a touch of fantasy' (for example, goose liver with orange brioche) are cooked here based on her recipes. Interesting fish menu: Ladoga whitefish, sterlet, sturgeon. Mechta Molokhovets is a chamber space designed in the style of a Petersburg living room of the end of the XIX century. In the evenings pianists play Russian romances, classical and light jazz here.

The Repa Restaurant

Teatralnaya square, 18/10 (Metro st. "Sennaya square")
A restaurant promoting to the society ideas of the new Russian cuisine. The basic principle of the menu for 30−40 items is local products and highlighted seasonality. Probably the most ambitious selection of domestic wines in the city can be found here. The interior was designed by Alena Akhmadullina, an eminent fashion designer and creator of a clothing brand bearing her name. Inspired by the works by Andrei Remnev, the painting of the walls matches both the embroidery on the chairs and the prints on the dishes. At the request of the administration of the neighbouring Mariinsky Theatre, the wall with the autographs by the following stars was preserved in the restaurant: the artist Mikhail Shemyakin, the opera singer Elena Obraztsova, the composer Rodion Shchedrin, the ballerina Maya Plisetskaya, the ballet dancer Nikolai Tsiskaridze. In a separate room of the restaurant there is a table for 12 people where gastronomic dinners and tasting of the set-menus in the chief`s table format are held.

Shtakenshnider

Millionnaya street, 10 (Metro st. "Admiralteyskaya", "Nevsky Prospect")
Stakenshnider is an exquisite and luxurious restaurant in the style of the early 20th century located in the center of St. Petersburg. The restaurant’s chef, Sergey Semenov, is a true expert of the very Russian cuisine. Stewed farm products and homemade pickles are the basis of the Russian section of the menu.

Russian Vodka Room #1

Konnogvardeiskiy boulevard, 4 (Metro st. "Admiralteyskaya", "Sadovaya")
The whole ideology of the project, from the classical facade of the building to the way the waiters are dressed, allows you to imagine the imperial XIX century which has not yet experienced the World War or revolutions. The originality of the concept: to combine a restaurant with a thematic exhibition dedicated to the cult alcoholic beverage in Russia.
