What will you see in the Museum of Political History of Russia?

Chronologically, the Museum's collection covers the period of Russian history beginning with the reign of Catherine II and continuing until the most recent events in the political life of Russia. The most significant monuments of the XVIII century include documents on the legislative activities of Catherine II, the events of the French revolution. The events of the XIX century are represented by complexes of exhibits dedicated to the era of the "The Great reforms" of Alexander II, the Witte reforms, as well as the activities of Zemstvo institutions. A large complex of exhibits reveals the activities of the highest state bodies of the Russian Empire — the State Council and the state Duma. The Museum's collections contain materials about the coronations of the last three emperors, about the origin and development of socio-political movements — starting from the Decembrists and including all socio-political movements and parties in Russia of the late XIX — early XX centuries.
