Stadium "GAZPROM ARENA"

Also known as "St. Petersburg Stadium" opened in 2017 and has a capacity of over 60 thousand spectators. Home team — Zenit FC.
Stadium "GAZPROM ARENA"
The stadium is made in a unique architectural style and resembles a spaceship (this was the idea of Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa).
Stadium "GAZPROM ARENA"
Interesting fact: due to the weather conditions in St. Petersburg, which are unfavorable for grass growth in winter, as well as that the city is themost northern of the Russian Premier League, the project authors made an architectural decision, in which the field of the stadium extends beyond its borders, and the roof is sliding, to close the field in bad weather and in the cold season.
